Week 15

I am doing so well! I love love love it here in Montana! It is gorgeous with all of the snow and mountains and trees and cute unique houses!! I  CAN'T believe I am nearing the end of my first transfer... it feels as if I've been here for such a short time, yet also a lot longer! Is that even possible? Missions really have their own time zone, huh?  Bozeman is really feeling like home now, I love seeing the now familiar streets and buildings in my area (:

This week has been awesome! The start and the end was the best I would say. On Tuesday we had a Women's Conference, for all of the sisters in the Montana Billings Mission, in Helena! It was incredible!! It was about 6 hours straight of pure inspiration and power! President and Sister Larson, the mission secretary Sister Solomon, and all of the Sister Training Leaders gave talks, and there were 3 musical numbers. One of the musical numbers was a violin piece played by my very own trainer, Sister Flake!! She got a hold of a violin only the night before the event. She did amazingly. She ended up playing Nearer My God To Thee, by my request, and I felt the Spirit so strongly!
The end of the week was awesome because we had our ward Christmas party (to which some people we're teaching came!) and the Downtown Bozeman Christmas Stroll! They had hot air balloons, food trucks, booths and stands of all kinds (we had a ward stand with handmade scones and then a church one for light the world!!) Also, Sundays are just AMAZING.

Things I learned from my missions's Women's Conference:
Sister Solomon's talk was my favorite!
-Fear is a feeling induced by a perceived danger/threat
-The Lord can make your weaknesses strong if you let Him {Exodus 3-4} -6
-D&C 121:3
*stop thinking about what you can't do, think about what the LORD CAN DO
-Ex 3:7, the Lord knows you
*PRIDE KEEPS YOU IN FEAR*
*HUMILITY BREAKS DOWN THE WALLS THAT BLOCK THE POWER OF GOD FROM US!*
-like Moses who feared so much, felt inadequate, and thought he couldn't do it, when THE LORD WAS REACHING OUT! He was saying "DON'T WORRY, I WILL TAKE CARE OF EVERYTHING!"
-"You receive NO witness until after the trial of your faith" - Moses went before Pharaoh and EPICALLY FAILED (made things worse) and then the Lord told him "Now thou shalt see what I will do" (Ex 6:1)
-The struggle with pharaoh and plagues = Moses' PRACTICE
-if you want to get better DO IT, TRY, PRACTICE!
-you may fail epically, but it just shows you the NEXT STEP to work on
-fear is just a prompt to adjust/change
-All of Egypt was convinced--- ONLY because it happened the way it did - GRADUALLY, the plagues that proved their gods wrong etc
- it's not about what you say, what you do, /what happens -- IT'S THE PROCESS!
-Moses was converted because of it YOU CAN BE TOO and everyone

Side note:
I feel like all of the MTC and gift of tongues magic has left me, heheh. Although I have been teaching the Hungarian missionary purpose to my companion and a few other little phrases here and there, which is fun! I don't need THAT kind of gift of tongues here in Montana, so it works out! Now, I just need the kind of gift of tongues that gets me through the force feeding of delicious, homemade, home butchered, fresh dishes here!! I have been still doing sugar free, so that helps a lot... ahhh... thank heavens... but we get fed so much!

I love you all!!!

Sis Flake and I on the car ride to Helena

Sister Flake being silly and her face when thinking about transfers coming up!!

The Downtown Bozeman Christmas Stroll! They had hot air balloons, food trucks, booths and stands of all kinds. We had a ward stand with handmade scones and then a church one for light the world!!

Sister Reck and Lindholm at the Christmas Stroll!! We love them, they're a blast!

This is me modeling for Sister Flake with a jewel on my face still from our teaching with some kids just before. A little girl put it there, and I forgot about it. heheh

SNOW!!! Montana is gorgeous!!!!
There are these trees that look orange when they are bare and they are so pretty!

I can think better with a beard.
