Week 27

Hello loved ones!

I love my new area and companion! It is wonderful to experience change, to come to a new place with new people, and especially to have new perspective. It is crazy how going to a new area and having a new companion has already opened my eyes to a lot of things. I am realizing all of the things I have truly learned from my past companionships and my first area. Isn't it interesting how we see things so differently --and often much more clearly-- as we are looking back and reflecting?

I was so excited when I found out that I was going to serve in the Lakehills area with Sister Voorhees! It is fun to have known her beforehand, as we served in the Bozeman Zone together for 2 transfers. We have had a wonderful start in our companionship and stewardship together, connecting on personal and spiritual levels, etc.

My Goals are to:
1.) Be bold in who I am, all I do, and my purpose as a missionary.
2.) Bring what I know to this new area and fire up finding efforts as well as unity and exact obedience.
3.) Take it day by day. Live in the present moment and be intentional and purposeful in all I do.
I am so grateful for the AMAZING first area and companionship experiences I have had. Our zone was so unified and so powerful, I want to bring that with me everywhere I go! I want to keep my fire burning and to breathe fire into all those around me. There is work to be done and we are going to be the ones to do it!

I have been having breakthroughs in regards to personal revelation and my relationship with God. A pivotal contributor is the realization that as I have the pure desire to serve God and do His will, I have His will and guidance flowing through me. Therefore I must trust my conscience, instincts, feelings, or whatever it may be, and just GO FORWARD ACTING IN FAITH. I must not doubt because of my weakness. I must trust that no matter what, if I go and do the things the Lord commands, that He has got it all under control. His work will go forward with or without my help, but I have decided and continue to decide that I am going to be His disciple and His tool! I choose to be the one that He is going to work through!

"I know that the Lord God will consecrate my prayers [and efforts] for the gain of my people. And [I trust that the things which I do] in weakness will be made strong unto them." 2 Nephi 33:4

"I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them." 1 Nephi 3:7

"[We] have been commanded of Him … notwithstanding [our] weakness." 2 Nephi 33:11

Therefore we must GO and DO the things the Lord has commanded and TRUST that He TRUSTS us! We can not let Him down when He is the one carrying us. TRUST that He has got this and TRUST that all will be well when we choose to fully rely on Him.
